The Augmented Surface installation in University of Milan’s historic building plays on the ambiguity of space with mirror elements and textural replication to map a pattern that extends into infinity. The gesture of pattern creation is augmented within the infinite space, showcasing the porcelain tiles of Marazzi that were created with an innovative surface treatment process for the occasion. The installation creates completely symmetric visions decorated with the chromatic richness of the tiles positioned on the ground and at the building’s walls.
