LOVE LOreto Verde is a competition entry by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV) for the urban re-generation of Piazzale Loreto, as part of the Reinventing Cities competition organized by the City of Milan. LOVE is a future-oriented project that inspires polycentric urban growth driven by sustainability and geared to nature, the environment, people and their social interaction.

Extending over several squares, and providing green roofs and urban woodland, LOVE envisions to create 6,500 square meters of additional pedestrian space, integrated with a new green infrastructure and areas for events, kiosks and social activities. The project aims to transform the square and the surrounding area by enhancing the different identities of what is one of Milan’s busiest and most densely populated districts.
