Max traces a sinuous, sculptural line readable in the round. A light tubular metal frame supports a kidney-shaped seat and cylindrical back; finishes span satin, chrome, black chrome, burnished, or glossy anthracite, with leather or fabric upholstery. An optical black-and-white leather version made the spiral wrapping explicit, and the original campaign —photographed by Gabriele Basilico at the Triennale di Milano — fixed this reading within an architectural frame.
Four decades on, the family evolves with Supermax: a re-interpretation that retains key traits while enlarging proportions and lowering the seat, shifting the piece from perimetral placement to a central, multi-functional role in living spaces.
