Ginger distils Bauhaus and Rationalist clarity into lightweight, tubular-metal seating. The structure stays legible, echoing René Herbst’s welded forty-five-degree joints rather than bent tubes, and carries a bourgeois modern elegance where nothing is superfluous. Conceived amid the exuberance of the 1980s, it argues for essentiality and endurance. Drawn and redrawn across sketchbooks, it reflects an almost obsessive search for proportion and poise, and a dialogue with the Milanese Rationalist lineage of Asnago, Vender, and Mucchi.
