Set in Milan’s Tortona district, the Ermenegildo Zegna headquarters engages the area’s industrial legacy while defining a contemporary identity. On a landlocked lot within the former Riva Calzoni works, the new building respects the original footprint and revives the shed-roof profile. A central courtyard-terrace sits over a double-height hall conceived as a theatre for collections and events, around which showrooms, offices and shared spaces are organized. A narrow glazed atrium on Via Savona funnels visitors inside via bridges and stairs. Facades of matte and reflective planes abstract the context with a restrained palette of glass and metal.
